Karen is a veteran in the business, having run her own day spa for over 11 years. We were delighted when she decided it was time to simplify her life and find a better balance between her practice and her passions – and join our team. She is a highly skilled Licensed Esthetician, Massage Therapist and Nail Technician with multiple specialties in all three areas.
A local gal, born and raised, Karen brings a wealth of experience and some exciting new treatments to Elements. She is trained in various aspects of massage (Swedish, deep tissue, pre-natal, hot stone and reflexology) and is highly skilled in skin care ranging from basic facials to advanced treatments (peels, acne treatments, etc.) with 11 post-grad sessions on skin care conditions and treatments under her belt! She performs a variety of manicure and pedicure treatments and is experienced in body and energy work, including Reiki and Rain Drop Therapy. Karen is also proficient in full body waxing.
Karen approaches skin care with long-term health and improvement in mind. Starting with her clients’ existing skin care regimens and goals, she finds ways to fill in the gaps for optimum results. She provides ongoing monitoring to make sure the regimen is working to its fullest potential.
Her ability to care for her clients with compassion and understanding stems from her upbringing. At the age of 11, she was helping her parents care for clients in their residential care home. This planted the seeds for her future career and instilled in her the ability to nurture and pamper her clients, promoting long-term well-being.
When not in the treatment room, Karen’s other passion is her horse – a quarter horse paint. She does trail riding, competes in Cowboy Dressage and is looking to expand her practice to include equine massage sometime in the future. She states her horse is her therapy, keeping her grounded and centered.
We know you are going to be impressed with her skills, comfortable in her care, and will enjoy her wry sense of humor.
